This warm weather we've been having has really played havoc with my Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in Speed Dial...

This WAS my 3 week old Mac Cremesheen in Speed Dial - it's died a death in the warm weather before I even had a chance to review it. I loved it and it had quickly become my go-to lippy. I even tried to resuscitate it in the fridge but no joy :-(

Here's a swatch of it to show just how pretty it was:

Weirdly, Mac Chatterbox (not a Cremesheen) which I bought at the same time and kept in the same conditions is ok. Has anyone elses makeup gone strange? How do people who have hot weather all the time cope with their lipsticks melting?!

  1. I feel for you and your lipstick! Shame, it really was a gorgeous colour. Erm some of my eyeliners have decided to melt on me but they were pretty crap anyway.

  5. Santy, that might be my dodgy camera - my boyfriend messed with the settings to make the pic files smaller and quicker to upload but it seems to have messed with how clear/accurate the pics are too! It looks more of a frosty pink in the tube, I just wanted to illustrate how awful it now looks!

  6. aww that must suck to get a lipstick you love and have it do that. Yah the only thing i can think of is putting your lipsticks in the fridge. You could put the remaining part of the lipstick into like a jar or little plastic container and melt it down and apply it with your finger. just a suggestion. sorry for the loss of you go to lipstick!! i hate that haha. I have never had anything melt on me just because we have central AC so our house is always an icebox!

    lots of love

  7. Good idea Chelsea, I've got some little empty pots that I didn't know what to do with so looks like they've found their use!

  10. Have you tried to depot it? If you melt it and pour into a container, you can still use it...
I've done this with several lipsticks, when I was trying to create new shades. They are now into a palette.
